This highlights report contains short summaries of border projects that were still ongoing during the transition between the Border 2012 and Border 2020 Programs and cover a range of activities including scrap tire management, environmental health aware-ness, air quality, emergency response, and wastewater treatment, among others. The projects highlighted in this report represent an investment of approximately $24 million USD in grants and include the construction of the first renewable energy powered wastewater treatment plant in the border region.
