In-Home Environmental Education Program (Case Study)

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, or CHOP, case study is intended to offer providers, health insurers, public health departments and community-based organizations an overview of an asthma in-home intervention. Community Asthma Prevention Program, or CAPP, services primarily low-income, urban communities by providing community-based education, training, and environmental interventions. The goal of CAPP is to decrease asthma-related hospitalizations and emergency room visits by educating children and their families about asthma and about methods of identifying and mitigating environmental asthma triggers in the home. EPA Document Number 402-F-02-035 , December 2002.
