EPA released a problem formulation for TBBPA and related chemicals used as a flame retardants in plastics/printed circuit boards for electronics. The goal of this problem formulation was to identify scenarios where further risk analysis may be necessary. The conclusion of this problem formulation is that EPA will assess risks to workers, consumers, the general population and aquatic, sediment- and soil-dwelling organisms exposed due to the manufacture, processing and use of TBBPA.
