Climate Change Adaptation Training

Below is training that illustrates how our climate is changing, what services will be affected, and how to strengthen our climate resiliency. All EPA training is Section 508 compliant.

Local Government Climate Adaptation Training This training module was developed for local governments and communities. The training was developed in cooperation with EPA’s Local Government Advisory Committee. The training illustrates how a changing climate may affect a variety of environmental and public health services, such as providing safe drinking water and managing the effects of drought, fires and floods. The training also provides numerous examples of how communities across the U.S. are already adapting to climate change. Online, Self-Guided 40 minutes
Office of Land and Emergency Management (OLEM) Climate Change Adaptation Training While originally developed for OLEM staff, other stakeholders – such as states, local governments, and NGOS – may find the information in this training useful for their own climate change adaptation purposes. Understanding Climate Change Impacts on Water Resources This training module was developed for those interested in building resiliency of water resources to climate change.
