Mary Ellen RadzikowskiMary Ellen Radzikowski is currently the Acting Associate Assistant Administrator of the Office of Research and Development (ORD). Her position of record is Deputy Director of ORD’s National Center for Environmental Research (NCER), where she is responsible for providing oversight and direction for the operation of ORD’s extramural grants program supporting ORD’s research portfolio -- the Science to Achieve Results (STAR), Greater Research Opportunities (GRO), American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) Fellowship Programs, the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program -- and all aspects of the NCER administrative, financial and management needs.

Mary Ellen has been with EPA for over 35 years and has served in various ORD leadership roles, including Chief of Staff in the Office of the Assistant Administrator, Deputy Director of the Office of Science Policy, Deputy Director for Health Research Management Staff, and Program Operations Director in the Office of Health Research. She brings a wealth of knowledge from her extensive experience in the areas of financial and administrative management, and has successfully led multiple major organizational change efforts.
