Elizabeth Shaw, Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Office of Air and Radiation

Betsy Shaw has served since 2012 as the Deputy Assistant Administrator for EPA’s Office of Air and Radiation (OAR) where she is responsible for the financial, human, and information resources management of the office, represents the air program on cross-cutting science, policy, and management issues, and leads several Agency initiatives.  A long-time EPA veteran, she previously served in a variety of roles in the Agency’s Office of Policy, the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention, and the Superfund program.  Betsy holds a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts and a Master in Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
